Journey Aviation Aircraft Management Team

Fabian Bello is CEO and founding member of Journey Aviation, one of the world’s top Gulfstream operators. Under his leadership, the company has demonstrated notable growth since its inception in January of 2014, exceeding $150 million USD in total revenue within its first 5 years in business, while establishing itself as an industry preferred quality operator.

While in the aviation industry, Mr. Bello has held various positions, such as executive vice-president and president/CEO of an international division, as well as president/CEO of other related aviation companies.  Most notably, Mr. Bello is known for managing the introduction of Deer Jet’s BBJ’s and ACJ fleet into the Middle East, catapulting the company’s penetration into the international markets.

Prior to entering the aviation industry, Mr. Bello worked in the logistics industry, working for a top worldwide logistics company with over $3 billion USD yearly turnover.   In addition to his extensive business knowledge, Mr. Bello has vast experience working with and uniting diverse cultures worldwide; particularly Hispanic, European, Asian and of Arabic regions. He has an innate ability of bringing and keeping individuals working together in pursuit of a common goal.  Getting things done effectively, efficiently and with the buy-in of all related parties is one of the strongest attributes to his management style.

Mr. Bello was born in Havana, Cuba and immigrated to Miami, Florida at the age of three.  He was raised in South Florida and attended the University of Miami where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing in preparation for his management career.   

Richard Peck is a graduate from the State University of New York with a BS in Aviation Technology and the University of Southern California – Institute of Safety with a Masters in Aviation Safety.

Mr. Peck received his FAA Pilot’s Certificate in June of 1966.  Mr. Peck currently holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with six additional aircraft ratings, Flight Instructor with Gold Seal, Ground Instructor – Advanced and an ATC Control Tower Operator certificate.  Mr. Peck has logged over 20,000 hours of flight time worldwide. 

Prior to joining Journey, Mr. Peck’s management career with the FAA spanned 33 years.  Today, Mr. Peck is considered an ‘expert witness’ and is called upon by prestigious law firms throughout the country to provide testimony based on his vast aviation acumen.  His special experience in Flight Program Coordinator, Air Operator Certification for FAR Part 121 and 135 Airlines, Certification and Operation of FAR Part 139 airports, Air Traffic Control and extensive experience with Federal Regulations Title 14 – Aeronautics and Space Subchapter D FAR Part 1 to Subchapter K FAR Part 171, compliments the management staff and expansion plans of Journey Aviation.

Nicholas Reinardy earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and was a qualified FlightSafety International Simulator Instructor.

Mr. Reinardy has been flying Part 135 on demand charter since 1999 as a First Officer, Captain, Assistant Chief Pilot, and currently as Chief Pilot and Check Airmen. After accumulating over 8,000 hours of flight time and global airman experience, Mr. Reinardy is instrumental in training flight crews to achieve the highest level of safety and cockpit standards.

Toni Huddleston received her Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University including the NATCO B747-400/B-727 ERAU Honors Course in Minneapolis, MN.  She attended FlightSafety® International where she completed her Learjet 35 Pilot Initial and Recurrent training and maintains her FAA Commercial Multi-Instrument Pilots License. 

Ms Huddleston transitioned into the position of Divisional Manager for a Part 145 Repair Station after receiving her FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics License.

Her extensive maintenance experience serves to complement Journey Aviation’s fleet of worldwide aircraft.

Brandon Abbey studied economics at Corning College, and FlightSafey Academy where he received his FAA Pilot Certificates and Ratings.

Mr. Abbey is Vice President of Business Development for Journey Aviation. In this role, Mr. Abbey is responsible for accelerating the business' growth through strategic acquisitions and joint ventures across Journey Aviation’s aircraft management, worldwide charter operation and aircraft sales divisions.

Prior to joining Journey Aviation, Mr. Abbey held the VP position of Business Development for a FAA Part 135 worldwide operator. Mr. Abbey’s professional entry into aviation started as a Pilot flying Learjets Part 135 in 2003, that led way into globally operating various model Gulfstream and Challenger aircraft. Ultimately being Type Rated in Boeing 757 and 767 airliners, he has operated directly for the U.S. Department of Defense and United Nations since 2007 under a Part 121 Air Carrier. Mr. Abbey’s brings substantial aeronautical and international cultural experience to Journey Aviation amassed through over fifteen years of extensive worldwide operations and exposure in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.

After graduating from the Maritime Academy and operating passenger ships out of Tampa, Brett migrated to Fort Lauderdale and navigated right into private aviation.

Finding a passion for the industry, he spent over a decade acquiring knowledge and experience in all operational areas; with both domestic and international companies.  His management expertise ranges from Charter Sales and Team Development, Brokering Aircraft Sales and Acquisitions, Trip Support, Fuel Sales and Client Relations.  Realizing the importance of having the competitive edge in this business, Brett is passionate in developing strategies for building, fostering and retaining the client base.  His attention to detail and thrive to make a positive difference, while promoting consistent growth and overall quality processes, will ensure our goal to ultimately provide total client satisfaction.

Michael Sands graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in Finance. He spent 20 years in the financial services and insurance industry, specializing in Aviation Insurance.

Along with maintaining currency as a line Captain, Mr. Sands holds the title Director of Safety. In this roll Mr. Sands chairs our in-house Safety Management System or SMS program. This internal safety assurance program is an essential element in ensuring our crew, aircraft, practices and polices are inline with Journey Aviation’s commitment to safety above all.

Prior to joining Journey Aviation, Mr. Sands acted as Chief Pilot and Operations Manager for a Part 91 Operation of eight corporate aircraft. Mr. Sands is a seasoned Part 135, on demand Captain currently flying the Gulfstream IVSP, Gullfstrea V and Gulfstream 550

Director of Quality and Client Services
